Board of Directors

The Board of Directors for Catherine Creek Christian Youth Camp Inc. will provide the planning, decision-making, and supervision of the proposed development of this Aaronic Priesthood encampment site. Each member of the Board of Directors has unique professional and personal experience that will contribute to successful fulfillment of the project. 

Eric Dahle

Eric has a lifetime of experience participating in and leading outdoor programs geared toward Young Men. He has been an Explorer and Venture leader, a Varsity Scout Leader, and a Boy Scout Leader. Eric’s expertise of Scouting and outdoor programs led him to be a Silver Beaver recipient and inductee into the Boy Scouts of America Hall of Fame. In addition to the over 400 nights spent camping with Young Men, Eric is a business owner with relevant experience planning and executing complex projects. Eric’s experience as the current Ontario Stake President will also provide a valuable asset of leadership. 

Gary Walker

Gary has passionately served as a longtime leader of Young Men. His expertise in Scouting and outdoor programs earned him recognition as a Boy Scouts Silver Beaver recipient. Gary’s previous roles as Young men leader, Bishop, Stake President, Area Seventy and Ore-Ida Council volunteer provide valuable leadership and networking experience. He is a business owner who understands how to carry out complex projects to completion.

Bruce Peterson

Bruce is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) who understands the financial, tax, and legal elements of running a nonprofit organization. His experience serving on various non-profit boards will provide useful insight regarding the operations of the organization. Bruce will especially contribute his expertise overseeing the financial elements of Catherine Creek Christian Youth Camp Inc and he will ensure that all 501(c)(3) requirements are met.

Jon Dahle

Jon’s background as a professional logger and heavy equipment operator will contribute construction and operational experience throughout the development process. He will assist with timber management of the 322 acre encampment site, and his experience with heavy equipment operation will be valuable throughout the construction process. Jon also served in various roles with Young Men and Scouts. 

Dale McIntire

Dale’s professional background as a general contractor uniquely qualifies him to oversee the construction and development of the project. He has both commercial and residential construction experience, and he understands cold climate construction having lived and built in Alaska. Dale also has served extensively in Scouting and Young Men callings. He currently is a priest quorum advisor and is a four-season camper!
